SOUTH BOSTON, VA - The green flag will wave for the start of the 2015 NASCAR Whelen All American Series racing season at South Boston Speedway Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
The Danville Toyota NASCAR Twin Late Model 100 racing program will usher in the 2015 campaign at America’s Hometown Track and will feature a total of seven events on the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval.
The featured attractions of the evening will include a pair of 100-lap races for the competitors in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division. The drivers in the Limited Sportsman Division will also be featured in a pair of twin battles Saturday afternoon.
Also highlighting the season-opening action will be races for the Budweiser Pure Stock Division, the Hornets Division and the Modified Division.
Tickets that were purchased last week in advance of the originally scheduled season-opening event on Saturday, March 14 will be honored this weekend at South Boston Speedway.
Registration and pit gates will open Saturday at 9 a.m. with practice for all division scheduled from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Grandstand gates will open at noon and qualifying time trials will get cranked up at 12:30 p.m.
Adult admission is $10. Children, ages six and under, will be admitted free with an adult.
