World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Joins Super DIRT Week at Rolling Wheels

CONCORD, NC - The 44th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week kicks off this week in Upstate New York with the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds taking center stage on Sunday. Before the Syracuse 200 hits the track at the historic Moody Mile though, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series joins the week's festivities on Saturday at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park. Last year's Rolling Wheels winner Donny Schatz comes into the event with the wind at his back after clinching the 2015 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship title at Williams Grove Speedway on Sunday. Schatz clinches his seventh career series championship, second only to 20-time champion Steve Kinser, after a history making season that has seen the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing driver in victory lane 30 times. For Schatz, the State of New York has been good this season. He was won both Lebanon Valley Speedway and Weedsport Speedway events in 2015. He comes into Rolling Wheels as the winningest-active Outlaws driver with four wins, including two of the last three. Steve Kinser is the winningest driver at the track with 12 wins. In 2014, Schatz battled past Brad Sweet and held off David Gravel to pick up his 25th win of that season. He went on last year to win one more time before claiming his sixth series championship. Super DIRT Week kicks off today with 'Early Bird' tech inspections and continues throughout the week with the Big Block Modifieds, DIRTcar 358 Modified Series, DIRTcar Northeast Sportsman Modified Series and DIRTcar Pro Stock Series.
