Kingsport, Lonesome Pine Host Back to School Weekend

KINGSPORT, TN - With school bells ringing once again across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, Kingsport Speedway and Lonesome Pine (Va.) Raceway will both host Back to School Night. Kingsport Speedway kicks off the weekend on Friday, August 7 with Lonesome Pine Raceway taking the reigns on Saturday, August 8. Both speedways will have free school supplies for children in attendance. Friday night at Kingsport will see the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car division highlight the event. Street Stock, Pure 4, Mod 4, Pure Street, Rookie Pure 4 and Legends divisions will also take on the 0.375-mile bullring. Grandstands open at 5:30 PM on Friday and racing begins at 8 PM. Adult grandstand admission is $10 with children 12-and-under admitted free. Tier parking is available for $10 for the vehicle plus admission.

Racing continues on Saturday night at Lonesome Pine Raceway with twin Late Model Stock features, Modified Street, Pure 4, Mod 4, Pure Street and Rookie Pure 4 divisions in action. Grandstands open Saturday at 4 PM with racing getting underway at 7 PM. Adult grandstand admission is $10 with children 12-and-under admitted free.
