Southern All Stars & Magnolia Motor Speedway Get Ready For 12th Annual Governors Cup $10,000 To

FAYETTEVILLE, TN - The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series along with officials at the Magnolia Motor Speedway have put together the richest purse ever to be paid out in a Southern All Star sanctioned event as over $40,000 will be on the line at the 12th Annual Governors Cup July 16-17-18. The 60 lap event will pay $10,000 to win and $1,000 start. Thursday night July 16th will be open practice for all divisions that will be running which include Crate late Models as well as Street Stock. Then the Southern All Star Late Model action get started on Friday night July 17th with White Performance/Schaeffer Oil Group qualifying, along with super late model qualifying heats along crate late model and street stock divisions. Saturday night July 18th there PPM Racing Products B Mains and then a 60 lap feature paying $10,000 to win. “This is a new purse structure that we are experimenting with and we look forward to working with Johnny Stokes and his staff at Magnolia to help make this a very successful event .” said SAS GM Lynn Acklin. “This is something we are trying new and will take a look at it and see what develops out of it for the future.” Drivers that can be expected as of right now to attend the 12th Annual Governors Cup include Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN. Cruise with the rookie of the year Dillon Tidmore of Glencoe, AL., Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN., Todd Morrow of East, TN., Skylar Marlar of Winfield, TN., Chris Wilson of Crossville, TN., Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN., Jason Hiett of Anniston, AL., Brian Rickman of Columbus, MS., Rick Rickman of Columbus, MS., Dane Dacus of Lakeland, TN., Neil Baggett of Columbus, MS., just to name a few. The tire rule for the weekend will be Hoosier only 1350-1600-21-55-Lucas 06-1640 LM 40 these will be the only tires for this event.
